Chain reaction. I finally understand that, cos it happened to me. No big deal actually, just one sleepless night ---> headache and another sleepless night ---> headache and a limited sleep night ---> a tired day. I wonder what kind of night this eventually ends with.

Its gonna be exams soon! One of my last few hopes to pull up my socks and tie my shoe laces (I added in this part). Conf room is opened for studying! I can't wait to really study there...but why do I like that place so much? No place is better than my own room, with everything i need and the toilet just next door. Somehow i miss studying with her. I should be hating her right? Afterall that incident happened during the previous exams season. Argh....can't be bothered to think too much.

I'm falling sick soon! I can predict the future....its just a matter of time. I can feel the germs' ultimatum...wipeout!

I think this is very irritating. So irritating that no matter how much obstacles i face, nothing's gonna deter me from making this entry.

Just about one hour ago, i learnt a new lesson called respect. The subject wasnt me....everything was gathered from the point of view of a third party.

I went down for a jcrc briefing regarding some event. Guy A was a freshie, a new member of jcrc, giving the briefing. It was obvious that he was quite inconfident and nervous, given that this might probably be one of his first few times seeing us...and some of us being his senior somemore. Alright, after much dily-dalying, the briefing finally started. He started to talk about the timings, the stuff to do, etc. And right behind stood the jcrc president, with her arms folded and an impatient and pek-chek look. I think she couldnt take it anymore, so she opened her mouth and that marked the moment of a series of objections.

Guy A: Lets all meet at 9.30pm tmr night.
JCRC Pres: (to Guy A, in front of some 30 pple) Are you sure you want 9.30pm? I think 9.15pm. They need time to.........................blah blah blah.

Guy A: Alright then, 9.15pm. Block comm please meet at 9.30pm, then we start combing the blocks at 9.45pm.
JCRC Pres: Why 9.45 pm then start combing? The residence will.................................blah blah blah.

Guy A: Ok, 9.30pm start combing.
JCRC Pres: Then what abt the manpower? Have you allocated the manpower to.............blah blah blah.

Similar dialogues repeated, till she decided to shut that guy up and give the briefing herself. That guy, was standing in the middle, speechless, embarrassed, lost..... I felt so very much to stand up and say, " Miss President, can you just stop interrupting? Its very rude!" But i didnt dare. I also couldnt imagine what the repurcussions would be. Afterall, she's still the JCRC President.

My points were:
1. Decide everything before you give a public briefing. It reflects very badly on yourself and the guy that you all couldnt come to a consensus when you all are the JCRC!
2. You can bring the guy one side, talk to him all you want to talk abt, check his agenda. Its better than correcting every single thing he said right in front of everyone. RESPECT the others, be it your subordinate, a newbie and whoever.
3. What are you trying to achieve by interrupting a person's speech lidat? To remind all that you are the JCRC President, so you have the final say? Then why dont you give the briefing yourself. Or are you out to disgrace that guy on purpose? To show pple that he's incompetent lousy and you're the opposite?

Learn to respect others. If not, pple will not respect you. From that moment onwards, at least, she has lost my respect.

Missing calculator

Where did my calculators disappear too? I thot I just took them put 2 weeks ago? How could they have disappeared into thin air just like that? I've searched almost the whole house,unless they are hiding in some secluded corners that I've never known existed...which makes me qns why they would be there in the 1st place.

I'm not making a big deal out of a small issue. The real issue is: ITS ABSOLUTELY IRRITATING WHEN U CANT FIND STH! I still recall watching this episode of Doraemon where he conjurred a bottle of fluid which you can spray on all your belongings, such that when you cant find a particular object, all you have to do is to shout for it and it will call out to you. Isnt that cool and beneficial to mankind if such an invention really exists?

But for now, where are my calculators?

I dont like the way things are being handled. Stop thinking that you are that fantastic. Stop keeping me out of the picture and telling me that i'm in it. Give the people around you some respect, cos they've got minds of their own and they've got feelings too. The people here refers to me.

I don't want to make any more sacrifices anymore...at least not before the application results are out. Maybe i should learn to keep things to myself. I shall go ahead and do what i'm going to do. I'm going to wash my hands off the committee that begins with a capital "H" officially, cos i'm just pissed off. I'm going to be an irresponsible person from now on. If thats how they want things to be.

By the way, no more HMF1. I've decided to drop it. Hope i wont regret. By right, i have more reasons not to than to do so.

Instep or Havoc?

Havoc Camp started. Ended. Lost of beauty sleep. Lost of voice. Tts needless to say. There were things that weren't pleasant to my sight and required changes; matters i felt like voicing, yet i wasnt in the right position to do so. When the opportunity finally came for me to do some revolutions, its just too bad that i'm going to stare at it, leaving me.

I have planned ahead. And that was one of the few instances i reallie did. Cos i hardly do. But why must it be that way? I know there's no win-win solution to all matters. And humans are selfish creatures. But u cant always have your cake and eat it. If only we can.

Sacrifices are bound to be made whenever it comes to decision making. This is the 1st time (is it?) I feel the pinch and the pain. Ouch!

Senior Camp 2-fright night rehearsal

Senior Camp 2-fright night rehearsal just ended. I felt like i have wasted my whole afternoon and evening, doing nth but wait. Long waits after long waits, there were nth for us to do, cos we were not the group in charge of fright night.

The only fun thing that we did was making the cyalume straws with the syringe. It was quite fun, thou it made my hands glow. Haha. And apparently many years of biology didnt teach me to hold the syringe correctly. I thot my way of holding was correct? Hmm...

The walk itself was a bit scary. It wasnt the tasks we had to do, it was the sudden movements that the SMs made, that made me scream. This really goes to show that, apparently i havent been paying much attention during the meetings, cos i did not i know exactly what the tasks were, and what was going to happen next. But i guess its also because of that, i screamed quite a fair bit...and made the fright night rehearsal quite an actual one for me. Haha.

Yong Leong thot i was quite funny...cos i could be laughing, screaming and telling him to be careful at the same time. Hey! How could he make fun of me! I told him to be careful, cos i knew exactly (maybe not so exact) where the dangerous parts were. I laughed when i saw the familiar faces /heard the familiar voices of the SMs. And i screamed when they jumped out or shouted at me all of a sudden. I was genuinely afraid ok! Afterall, old CGH wouldn have been so 'famous' for no reason.

Today was not a very lucky day for Havoc actually. The moment we reached there, we saw a big family. We came to know that they have bought the piece of land where old CGH was standing. OMG! That means we may not be able to use it for actual camp. Their boss came down too.
Then the police came. Then the Ah Bengs came. Then the police came again. Then the Ah Bengs and Ah Lians came again. Finally the SPI came. That was a good series of interruptions. But anyway, we managed to clear the area by 12am. So i guess it was still alright.

Red Tea Jelly with Longan. Hmm...what so special and famous abt it? Nth special leh. Haha.

The happiest day and the saddest day.

Went to watch the NDP Preview. The turnout was uncountable. The fireworks were breathtaking. The marching and the formations were spectacular. The airshow was superb. And the performance was boring. Haha. I guess pple shared the same sentiments as many left in the middle of the perfromance.

It didnt occur to me that I was the culprit. All along i thot LZR was responsible for the incident that took place after the 1st group A mtg 1 yr ago...heaven knows i was part of it too. The news came like an asteroid hitting against me. I was crushed. Mentally. I cried very very hard. So hard, for once i felt like breaking down. I was totally drained, worn out, exhausted, whatever you can use to describe the fatigue.

I have never thot that I would be termed an irresponsible person...esp when it was only the 1st mtg...can u imagine the lousy impression i left on others? Forget abt whether i've changed for the better or whatsoever. Whats done couldnt be undone. If i were in MX shoes, i would nv forgive the person(s) that made me cry. Today we are such good frens...good group mates. To think she didnt take it to heart even thou i did hurt her before. One wouldn cry if he/she wasnt hurt. You undstd? If someone were to hurt me, i think i have the perfect reason not to forgive and forget.

Why wasnt i scolded for my behaviour then and there? I would have felt so much better. Or rather i wouldnt have felt so bad. So guilty. I cried not just becuase i made MX cry. I cried cos i was angry and disappointed with myself and childish, stupid, silly and foolish behaviour.

Havent had so much fun since heaven-knows-when. Went Plaza Singapura to do some shopping and to rent Archie comics. It so happened that my mp3 hung on me for no reason and it so happened that there's a Creative store at PS. Voila. Managed to get it fixed on the spot.

My main aim was to shop. So we headed for Far East by foot from PS to shop for shoes and tees. It was a fruitful trip as i managed to buy 2 tees and 1 pair of shoes. Sense of satisfaction-60%. To top up the remaining 40%, we went to Bugis Street to get 2 more tees. Haha. Just nice. 99%. The last 1% was one Unagi Sushi and some soup @ Sakae Sushi.

Wanted to catch a movie at TMall, but we were a bit late. So we went home. I got a cute handphone accessory. Great day!

Today i had my best driving lesson ever! Not cos i didnt stall, its cos i thot everything went rather smoothly.

Its for the 1st time i felt like i'm cruising in a car...wif me at the driver seat and my hands on the steering wheel.
Its also for the 1st time i felt the slight confidence in getting the vehicle moving. Goodness gracious, i even exceeded the speed limit of 60km/h on the road by 20km/h and i even got a chance to go to gear 4!
For the 1st time too, I drove past areas near my workplace, my hse, my sis's place, Daniel's place, my fave coffee shop...basically its a lot of places that i went to this afternoon.

When a guy likes a gal, he might confess to the gal.
When a gal likes a guy, she might never confess to the guy.
So what if this person makes it known to the others that he likes that person...pple have eyes to see, to judge whether this person and that person would make a compatible pair. Correct?
I'm glad there's someone who understands that person and can help that person make the judgement. Make your judgement known to this person. It would make the day of that person.

When one is busy, he always yearns for the time to rest. On the contrary, when one is so free, he wishes to be given some meaningful work to do. I dont like to waste my time doing meaningless things...but for my case, meaningless stuff is meaningful income. Understand?

Tues nite meeting...wed nite dance practice. I have hated dancing since Sec 1 cos i believed my dancing sucks big time. Till now, i still think i can't dance but yet i feel that dancing is fun. I can't believe that i can actually rmb the steps...i shall make it a point to practise consistently, so that i wont be the weakest link during the camp. But its always easier said than done. Haha.

Why does it matter to pple so much? Shouldnt happiness be the most important thing in life? As long as you are happy, why bother about the relationship status?

I'm just wondering.

I have every right to say "This is unfair!!!" and pple have no right to stop me, cos I've just collected concrete proof of what is called unfair. Work hard, work hard, work hard. What's the point? Slack, slack, slack...and pple turn out better than you. Was it an issue of time or was it just a little pinch of luck?

Don't go overboard. Overcooked food doesn't taste nice. The nutrients will be gone, without you realising it.

End of PC show (41 units today, 81 units for past 3 days)

PC Show has ended. My legs are 'sour', my throat is sore and my ear drums have been very much shaken. Thanks to my brain. The 1st and last form of celebration was treating myself to one scoop of Macademia Nut Ice-cream at Haagen Dazs.

Its really tiring. Lessons learnt:
You dont know how tired your legs are, until you sit down.
Just like you dont know how hoarse you voice has turned into, until you really get to stop shouting and talk in a normal pitch and tone.

Attitude. This is the image you portray to others. According to dictionary.com, attitude is
1. manner, disposition, feeling, position, etc., with regard to a person or thing; tendency or orientation, esp. of the mind
2. position or posture of the body appropriate to or expressive of an action, emotion

I put in my heart and soul and whatever i have, in all i do. I believe there are pple who do so as well. But i hate it when you see pple giving the heck-care attitude. Stand and smile...chat...eat Pocky...SMS...I know there is no commission. But pls. Show some responsibility, cos afterall, you are paid. If they needed vases, they wouldnt have to pay $8/h/vase. Its far too costly.

Enough of the freebies and the headsets, the carrying-cases and Windows XP. These are the taboo words at least for a week. Enough of the nonsense from those AN and AT. This is not discrimination. But sometimes it just gets on your nerves that pple ask for things that irritates you and put you in a spot. And unfortunately, it really got sth to do with cultures. Nobody can stop me from stereotyping them, cos everybody showed the same pattern, and said the same thing! Heck. I have learnt to say the word "No" today, and i realised, amazingly, it worked!

Today's mode was tuned to 'slack'. But somehow i still managed to sell a considerably reasonable no. of units. Dunno why. Maybe it had sth to do with feng shui. Haha.

Will i be spotted at Dell again during the next PC fair? I doubt so. It takes me a while for the effects of fatigue to disappear and be erased from my memory. For now, all the memories from the SITEX 07 are back. Vividly.

Arh...my long awaited PC show...the tiring and leg-breaking day i've been looking forward to since heaven knows when. Pple question me...why do i like to do this kind of job? Why would i want to stand the whole day, talk the whole day and fake a plastic smile to people you don't feel like entertaining, or sometimes to people whom you are cursing and swearing furiously deep down inside? My ans is...i don't know too.

Today was busy.
To the extent that i didn't really eat lunch and dinner, if you were to ignore the little blueberry cream bun that i had at 6pm.
To the extent that i didnt have time for toilet.
To the extent that i kept one group of customers waiting while i served my other customers.
To the extent that i didn't even keep track of time.
To the extent that i didn't know how i survived today.

Tomorrow is another day of uncertainty. The target is a ridiculous figure of 20 sets. You think tts possible? You think laptops cost $129.90 instead of $1299? Its not easy earning pple's money, especially when you know that the stuff you are selling, is less competitive than the other brands.

Customers came to me with brocures from Acer and Compaq. They made me do the comparisons for them. Even Dell laptops from the retail booths are much more attractive than what we the direct sales are selling. How am i supposed to convince the customers when u realise that after matching all the specs, we are most expensive than the other brands? I don't cheat you see. I am a consumer 99.9% of the time. I understand how it feels when the $$$ figures stare at you. $200 difference is a difference! You can't tell pple, "oh, for that $200, you get to purchase a Dell laptop (and not any other brands) and you get to choose from 8 colours!" Cos i would rather keep my $200 and go for a normal-looking Compaq or NEC laptop, so long as the specs are good. Afterall, most laptops look normal. And same goes for their owners.

But then again, i'm ashamed that this year, we are selling notebooks with such outdated specs. I know they wanted to make the prices look attractive...but i could almost feel myself blushing everytime i mention the additional costs of upgrades to the customers. Because, after all the addition, its no longer seems that good and cheap a deal! And the best thing, once again, is us selling more expensive than our retail booth! I hate this. Why are we, the direct dealers, more expensive than the retail dealers!!! Its so irritating! Its as if we are driving away our customers...as if the non-casn & carry policy isnt doing so enough.

Oh well oh well. Thats sales. And of cos, you meet all kinds of customers. Humourous, not-humourous-but-try-to-act-humourous, cheapskates, wealthy, knowlegable, smart-alecs, friendly, arrogant...and many more. I can't help but reflect on which category i fall into 99.9% of the time.

I know we are paid. But we are workers, not slaves. The least those whoevers can do is to appreciate what we are doing for them. Its not my fault that customers take their time to make a decision. Mind you, its a $1000+++ deal that we are talking abt here. Esp in times of inflation and other rubbish, time for consideration is definitely necessary.

End of Special Sem

Yeah. Special sem exam is finally over. Its hard, cos while pple are enjoying their hols, we the special sem-ers are working hard for that one exam. But i guess, its still more worth it, especially there's less things to cope with at a time. The STARS timetable for next sem is out, and i think it looked yucky. If only i'm not taking EEE...at least the module titles would look more interesting and "appetising". Haha. Thats just a thot that crosses my mind once in a while. Or shd i say many times in a while. LOL.

Tmr is the IT Show. The day i've been looking forward to. Its definitely not because i get to stand continuously for 9 hours or i have to explain the same things over and over again...its just because i like the nature of such job. Maybe its too soon to speak...but trust me. If i hadn't liked the kinda stuff, i wouldn't have dug my own grave. Who would do sth that they dun like? But then again, that person happens to be me again.

I hope that the PC show would be a fun one. :)

4.07 am...a SMS woke me up. The reply is: I've gotten over it. I'm not sad. I'm just tired.

Sometimes we dont have a choice. And sometimes we are just fated not being able to accomplish certain things. What i am today isnt my choice and i hate to believe that that is MY life. I am a victim of the consequences attached to the choice of no-choice. You understand?

Results out. Disappointment.

Time after time, i've been questioning myself why is that so. Why am i always the weakest link? I know i'm in no position to say anything cos there are pple out there who have done worse and need more consolation than I do...but the point is everyone has different expectations. I dont see why should i be deprived of the chance to be sad, to lament about my results, to ask pple to console me. Just because i'm not as unfortunate as others?

Since day 1, i have been blaming everything on Earth that could be blamed. Why is life so unfair? Why cant we borned equal? Why cant we be at the very least, be appreciated of ALL our efforts?

I cant to bear to see my results cui-ing day after day. I dont even want to look at my results for the 2nd time. Whats the point?
Resolutions are always easier said than done. Mug at library everyday? Study hard? Bullshit. I might just scold anyone who dares to tell me i havent worked hard enough.

Maybe pple dont see my point. Maybe some pple never will. If only my blog is as unknown as some unknown pple's blogs...so that nobody will understand what i'm talking abt, so that i can truly vent all my frustration.

Eve of Senior Camp

Tmr is senior camp. After having chaired part of Havoc's mtg for the last 3 weeks, things seemed to be roughly in shape. But the actual thing is always different from the ideal. Deviation is inevitable...it just depends on how much it will deviate from ideal. I'm crossing my fingers and hoping that things won't spin out of control. The seniors are my friends...they won't make things difficult for me, will they? They won't give harsh criticisms and hurting remarks, will they? Very soon these questions will be answered.

I believe i would be able to handle...this is not a form of motivation, although apparently it it. I am ME and I know i am not a weakling. No matter what comes, I'll be able to handle fine. Besides, there's always the Havoc Tops to help me.

For now, I have to familiarise myself with everything. I can't make any blunder that will reflect badly on myself. No room for mistakes.

Today is the Eve of Senior Camp 1.

I was so very tempted to type the whole entry in chinese...but i dont see how i am able to accomplish it. So better not waste time.

My 3rd driving lesson le. I finally got onto the main road, but i really screwed things up by stalling the stupid engine twice. Consecutively somemore. Right smack in the middle of the big cross junction near Bedok Swimming Pool, where traffic was so heavy. Its just sheer luck i'm got many patient drivers behind the steering wheels of the many vehicles behind me.

I'm starting to doubt whether i have made the right choice in taking special sem. Pple around me are all working...while me...Given a timetable of Tues, Wed AFTERNOON lessons...what can i do? There's nth i can do.

I'm sick again. So sian. Everything is tasteless and odourless...i feel so sick. Life is as bland as plain water. Not even honey green tea can perk me up, cos i wont be able to taste it.

Don't feel like eating, cos i don't want to waste the nice food.
Don't feel like studying astro, cos i'm mentally exhausted.
Don't feel like watching tv, cos it makes me tired.
Don't feel like sleeping, cos i can't seem to fall asleep.
Don't feel like doing anything, cos there are too many things to be done.
Don't feel like typing anymore although there are so many things i feel like telling cos i'm too sick to do so.

I hate hall

Staying in hall is so troublesome.

I really don't understand why the school is making things so difficult for us. We are paying them more than a thousand bucks a year, and there they are making things hard for us-their customers. What the heck. Firstly, they came up with the stupid idea of triple-sharing, without considering the welfare of the the students.You look at the size of the room. Having to house one more person is not just about that person. Its about adding an extra bed, extra table, extra cabinet and extra moving space, without compromising too much of that of the other 2 roomies. How is that possible? You can easily think about all the possible problems and unhappiness that would arise with your kneecap put on.

And then they thought of another stupid idea of the double-decker bed...those kind with a small pathetic table below. Who would want to be the 3rd person if he/she has to pay the same amount of $$$ as the other 2 roomies?

Fine. With or without the silent protest, the obviously-foolish plan was called off. So how? To make the now-happy students who were unhappy about the triple-sharing idea unhappy, they set the cut-off to be 15 points. That would make less than 10% of the hall-ites eligible to continue staying.

Whats the point of joining this and that, making ourselves busy like anything-you-can-think of ??? For that stupid recommendation letter-which requires you to write 450 words to explain everything on Earth, and requires you to go through whatever selection, interview and signing of contract. WHAT THE HECK! Seriously had it not been the fact that I live in Tampines, you think i would even bother to think about all these junk? I might as well just go to school and come back when school ends, like the times in Sec sch and JC. And pri school. What a nice name -discretionary list - where whether you stay in hall is up to the stupid hall's discretion. Its just plain threatening.

"It is compulsory for all successful applicants to attend all the hall activities held through the academic year.
2. Termination from hall will be considered if applicant fails to comply with any of the respective requirements as stated in their individual agreement.
3. All applicants will be monitored by the Hall Fellows, if performance deemed unsatisfactory their application will be revoked. "

This is ridiculous.

What about those people who can't multitask, who cant cope with academic work when they want us to join so many silly stuff? Maybe they would be terminated from school. Does it mean theat when that happens, they can continue to stay in hall? They didnt specify that you have to be an existing student of NTU to stay in hall in their clause, did they?

I am really angry. I don't like to be treated like dirt, or to put it in a nicer way, I like to be given respect. I think even spending $1000+++ for a handbag or for a pair of shoes or even donating it, would make me feel better...cos at least I feel the appreciation by the shop, by the people or at least, i own a new bag/pair of shoes...Right now...i yearn to see the day when there is just 10% of the total hall population staying in hall. But i know that day will never come.

No choice, i still have to fill in the application form and rack my brains for 450 words. When can i just quit hall, and totally exit myself from the stupid hall system?

Gross Sakae Sushi

Finally got to eat sushi wif mum and sis again...woo...so nice, but so ex. Due to INFLATION and the rising price of rice, sushi price up-ed form $1.99 to $2.29. Sian. The cashier was a noob, not knowing how to count, not knowing how to understand the promotions going on. In any case, it was my 1st time eating a gross salmon sushi too. The 1st and the last time. Yucks.

Went to check my eyesight, yeah, the degree dropped (or whatever u call that). But that also meant that no changing of specs this year. Haha.

So happy that the gathering @ Art of Music was postponed, thou i was really informed at the very last min by chance. I wasn't angry, i was happy! Think i really dun like the place, lol. Or maybe i really loved staying at home so much. Zzz, thats denial!

Managed to finally reformat my laptop, after the many hours of backing up. Have yet to bring the files back...so mafan. Sigh, stop procrastinating!

My 154th post...too bad it had to be an emo one. Last nite havoc mtg...my 1st time chairing a mtg. Seriously i wasnt very stressed, just that maybe i wasnt prepared and experienced enough. The tops and the commpointed out a lot of stuff...and i'm just too tired to think abt the stuff. Of cos i'm happy they made me the top of senior camp, but...its just very sian...cos there are so many things to be done and to be considered. Just typing the email to zk alone...i cant even managed to finish typing w/o feeling the urge to give up. Sigh. So much so for senior's camp...why are the seniors lidat? i mean arent they kind pple like the QPeeps and the JCRC pple? why must they be treated like the royals? In a dilenma

The email. Performing arts group sounds too nice too be true. Should i join? Is that a once-in-a-lifetime chance? But i don't want to be reminded of the past...of the place...of the events...of the people...and of him in particular...Just when i've decided to delete him out of my mind, my life...this stupid email popped out in my inbox...what should i do? Risk it? I know he'll join. I'm in a dilenma...will it affect my schoolwork? Will it affect my leisure? Will it affect my future?
As i've said, it seems too good to be true...cos there are just too many uncertainties.

A great game of badminton with Meixin, Marcus and Guoyuan...so great that my right arm aches now. I can't imagine whats going to happen tmr. I thot i would be late...turned out i was late alright, but i managed to be the earliest. Lol...and lotsa thanks to Marcus for the Honey Green Tea. I would like to clarify, i'm NOT the weakest link...it obviously wasnt me and i cant really blame the guys for having great arm power and better skills. Hmph. And it's a blatantly rude thing to get ur fren to takeover when one of us just rests for a while. And its even ruder to have ur fren and ur fren's fren to takeover the court, cos we paid for it and we weren't transparent. My point is: Its only courteous to ask. We needed some rest anyway.

Recording! Cool! For 2hrs, i was living in the world of Clip! and i was Annabelle again. Its weird to be singing those songs again, but its a nice feeling. I was even amazed at how differently i sound...the voice i hear of myself and my recorded voice. And its even funnier to hear my own singing. Its quite a shy thing. :) One more song to go...the wedding song. I can't wait for the whole cd to be ready. Haha.

The craziest thing of the month: I suggested to meet at 10am at City Hall MRT this morning and i was not late! I know that's an almost impossible thing to be...but as i've said, its "almost"... there's still that slim chance. Lol.

Broke the record for lowest bowling score: 35! Somehow i'm just proud of this most-unproud thing. Whats there to hide? Its just me...with the plain facts. You can consider me the 2nd runner-up. The 1st runner-up was Wilson, followed by our new-born Bowling Queen Mingshu. Haha. We were the 1st 3 customers of Marina Sq Super Bowl by the way. Thank us.

It was amazing how i did such an accurate estimation of time, cos it was almost 11am by the time we finished our game and we were just nice for K @ KBox. I know the previous K trip was less than a week away, but K-ing is addictive...I can't help it right?! It was a much fruitful trip as compared to the prev one and...oh yah, come to think of it, I was K-ing the same day last year, just that then was my first time K-ing and it was at Party World Intl Bldg wif Sunway pple. Happy 1-Year Anniversary. Woot! Lunch was good anyway.

03May

Reckee trip with Meixin and Guoyuan. It was the happiest mtg i have ever had...maybe becos its so near home. Met at McDs...disucssed before we headed to Bedok to reckee the places for City Challenge. Of cos the funnest part was watching The Forbidden Kingdom. I was conned by the 2 of them tt we would be watching Iron Man instead of TFK. How gullible.
Initially wanted to play badminton, but a pity all the courts were fully booked. Nice movie thou...and I wasnt referring to Iron Man. Rushed the City Challenge Draft 4...i suddenly appreciated all that Mx has done for us...and all that Zhirong hasnt been doing...I wasnt sure if i was slow or compiling a darft was actually not an easy task, cos i actually took quite some time at getting it finally done. It has always been mx doing the compilation, and me just typing the game play. This Tues-a mtg w/o mx, a mtg that zr is unsure of, a stressful mtg for me. But i believe all my efforts will pay off, cos i'm going to come up with a perfectest - if not, a nearest-to-perfect draft.

Went out wif the QPeeps...for once i wasnt late...i mean i was supposed to be late, but somehow i was one of the earliest. Alighted from Train A tomeet Qifen at City Hall MRT and boarded back Train A before it could leave. Lol. Did nth much thou, just a nice-looking dinner, just some ok chilling and just some ever-shocking news, that really made me ponder, once again, how unfair life is.

Day of celebration - end of exams

Finally the end of exam...dunno wats wrong with me...so many things on my mind...neither sad nor happy, just numb. Maybe cos i think i have done badly for all my papers. In any case, one can simply take away 20 marks from every paper (except 2001 where u have to take away 87 marks instead)...without even having to look at the script. Its that bad - just take my word. The stupid mistakes made were horrendous. Horrendously horrendous...which once again led me to question the fairness of life.

The conclusion: Life is Unfair.

Made a simulated life-n-death decision today - i've decided to move out of hall this hol! 15 May 2008...the last day for me to get kicked out of hall. Lol.

Our celebration plan today was very much delayed...all thanks to yours truly...and by stupid 179 that broke down.

Its fated...that Mingshu had to wait so long. Lol. Quite paiseh thou..cos i admit that i was the snail. Went to the 99c sushi outlet today with the Mingshu,Yee Siang and Wilson @ Jurong Sports Complex...cool! Haven't eaten sushi for such a long time!!! Actually not very long also lah...say arnd 2 weeks? Lol. But somehow, i just love sushi...and the craving is almost all the time.

Then we went to sing K at the so-called family style KTV near sch...i disagree wif the "family" cos the place is too ulu...and 'eerie'...is that the right word to use? Nobody really cared abt us...right from the moment we stepped to that place, which was considerably hard to find. Being operated by ATs...one shdnt expect any high standard either. The blackout as the circuit breaker was tripped was a mini-horrifying experience due to the weird nature of the place...can u believe we were the only customers they had? I wonder w/o us...would they reallie have zero KTV customer today? Nonetheless, despite all the cui stuff...the most non-noob happenings were that they had a time-based system and that their songs were actually quite new. New but not necessarily housing all the songs we wanted (or I wanted)...but its better than nth. Anyway, havent sung so much since the last K trip at the small Katong place. Thou i didn really sound up to standard...it was a good attempt anyway. Singing wif the pple i sang wif today was overall a fun thing.

Wanted to go bowling after that...but Mingshu had to leave early...and the place was so fully booked...so 2 games of daytona and a nice dinner at M Sq foodcourt wif Yee Siang were how we concluded our day of celebration. Cooking mama and a good nite's rest are what i need most now.

I saw him yesterday at Can5...the feeling was terrible. Pardon me for my poor english standard, i'm not able to describe my feelings with the mere limited vocab that i have. In any case, its weird and not like before. Thats when i finally stop doubting myself. I have to do sth soon.

Crazy thing...how true is that?! Anyway, kudos to my dear Guai Gia #01...she finally got a blog...a pity i wasnt the first few to know...but its ok...better late than never.

Went to play badminton wif mum just now...we were so energetic during the 1st 30min...after tt we started to feel shag, and started to declare which were the serves that need not be served back. Lol. How funny! if only 2nd sis were there...it would be more fun! However, we managed to drag til 1h despite our fatigue...Anyway, my point is...i've aged! My stamina has worsened! What happened to me???

I'm disappointed with myself...especially everytime i think of the stupid EE2001 paper...I really dun understand since when i've became so stupid. Or have I never been smart before? And now...i still have an upcoming paper...but i just cant concentrate. All kinds of dumb distractions at home...DS, TV, laptop, bed...what else? Everything else! I told my mum tt i really have to go back to hall very soon...and she agreed, but the main reason is why has it become lidat? When i was still in NAS and Tj, i had no hall...why was it that i could manage to study then and not now? The problem lies in me! W-H-Y??? Damn me!

I dun understand why i'm being so negative these days...the best thing is i had to console pple around me who are sad when i am sad myself...i had to encourage pple when i'm a discouraged soul...what position am i in to be doing all those? Do i detect any bit of irony? But that doesnt mean that my consolations were all null...they came from my heart. To you who are reading my blog, i'm truly encouraging you. I know the stupid papers in ur stupid school are difficult...but i'm sure u'll still do well de :)

Maybe i'm seeing the worst of life...or i shd say the worse...cos the worst i'm sure has yet to come. Haiz...

Reminiscing

Listening to the soundtrack of Death Note...all of sudden i'm reminded of the time when i first heard the song...or rather the period of time. Was it just the start of my working life then? Or was it during Christmas last year when i hung out with Swee Hoon and crapped and sang and did stupid stuff tgther? It seems like every song in my folder gives me a special feeling...cos of the timethat is being associated. Like "Stef Sun-Yu Jian"...i can still rmb vividly the fanatic moments it caused in me and lam when we were in 3E1..."Candy Lo-Zhi Shao Zou De Bi Ni Zao"...shd be a song of early Sec 3 life...i think. I know this sounds cheeeeesy...but time really flies. Haiz.

I miss all the times in NAS and Tj. Sitting at the parade square every morning...talking or studying...it didnt really matter. Its the company we had and the nice memories it left behind. Trips to school every morning then have always been enjoyable. Even lessons (other than GP) were fun...Then someone who just completed her A-levels...in search of a part-time job...looking for nice english songs...and all sorts of fun...now someone who's withered due to exams and unnecessary stresses...sometimes i feel like crying when i hear the songs i used to listen. Life was so simple and happy then...its not like its not now. But it'll never be the same.

I'm not emo-ing...cos i dont emo. I'm just reflecting on my life.

The cui papers

Its in the midst of exams...Its the toughest period i'm going through ever...dunno why...maybe there are too many flaws and according to material science, flaws are stress concentrators. Plus the consecutive papers.

Unexpected and unhappy things happened right before the start of my 1st paper...luckily it didnt really impact much...then the worst paper in my whole life...EE2001. I hated the subject from the start...a smuch as I hated and feared circuits. 2 papers on 1 day wasnt really very encouraging as well. Anyway, I was so disappointed with myself. I thot i could do the qns...end up...i got the wrong ans. The more confident with their answers the people around me were, the more demoralised and discouraged I got. At one point i nearly felt like shutting the pple around me up. I felt so stressed and unwell...but who could undstd me? When i said i might do sth foolish...i really would...if i could surmont the courage i needed. But basically i think its the thot and the meaning behind it that counts...isnt it?

Its also the 1st time i felt the unfairness of life. I have proved that 'reaping what you sow' is an absolutely invalid and stupid statement. I dont believe i put in less effort than the people around me...but i just cant fathom why they all seemed to be doing better than me. Sacrificing my sleep and everything else just to study while others can happily sleep...the next day they come telling me you need sleep before exam...come on...i'm not an idiot. But i just cant afford to sleep early when i could make use of the time revising my lect notes.

I dunno how cui it will be for this sem...but i'm prepared for the worst. No point denying the facts.

OMG! Its been almost half a year since i last blogged...i'm not sure why on earth am i making a comeback now when i should be spending my time with...my lecture notes! Lol. I know why...all because of my dear Geraldine's post abt our gathering...that served as a mini motivation. Yep! On 29 March we had a gathering...to celebrate the return of Eliza...Haha. The feeling was great of cos, esp for me since i donned my tj uniform, which i'm ever so proud of...My point is WE SEEMED TO BE STILL THE SAME despite the many changes that we know have taken place! Even the food in the hawker centre opposite tasted....the same? In any case, its cool! Haha.

Alright man, things have been changing and everything's moving on at the speed of light...no point making backdated entries cos theres just too much to be posted...maybe one day when i have the time...i might be updating this not-so-updated blog again. Haha...

Updates

Heh...since when blogging has been a monthly affair sia. Haha, but I guess it doesnt matter anyway. Over the past few weeks, I have cleared many tests and joined many stuff. Lets see. I've been accepted into Havoc as programmer, QP as a cast member and I have also joined Sing N Strum and Xinyao. I think this is suicide, but things havent get into full gear yet, so I guess its still ok. Finally no test this week. Phew. I think I'm reallie suffering from a serious case of lack-of-sleep...it was also my first time that night talking to my fren till 4.15am. Crazy us. Haha.

30Sept, I went to sing K wif the usual pple but this time, wif 2 new members. Yeah! Frankly speaking, my heart really sank when I first stepped into the place. It was disappointing in terms of the room size and the songs. In addition, I guessed we were still not used to the envt, I felt really bad. Thou the others didn blame me, but I could tell they held back their comments ba. I guess the next K trip, I wont want to be organising liao.

07Oct, I went Orchard with Hei to complete our 'mission'. It was fun and all I can say is that changing of clothes is shack and I can really understand how the singers felt when they had to change at the speed of light during concerts. After that we met up with Jason for supper. It was ok other than the rude awakening that was caused by shes-who-shall-not-be-named. Anyway, we didnt know their names too. So cant name also. Haha. After that, we had a great deal of fun at the nameless Laselle School of the Arts. Haha.

Fri night I went dancing with Hei @ Esplanade. I'm quite amazed at myself cos I have never been into dancing and for those who know me, they all knew I cant dance. Physically and literally. But somehow after Insinyur, I found dancing really not that tough afterall. Perhaps it was the stupid moves of the NAS Choir Musical that made dancing seemed...stupid. Haha. Insinyur'08...I'm in charge of mass dance anyway.

Yesterday I went shopping. It was really shiok. I spent $50 in a short period of 1h. =P No comments lah hor. Haha.

Yeah, this is the last week of lab. Which means to say, I MANAGED TO SURVIVE 2 LABS!!!!! It wasnt that bad actually, not taking into account the lab report week which was like hell. But other than that, its actually pretty ok. Haha. Its either no lab or 2071 next sem. See how lor. Wahaha...

Long time no post

I just realised its been eons since I have last posted. So many things have happened since then. Sch started, I've shifted and adapted and now the long awaited break is finally nearing. Hall camp was fun, but not as fun as Insinyur...maybe cos of the pple ba. Sch's started and its both busy and slack...as in apparently its a packed timetable, but I think i still can manage...thou I can feel myself being seriously worn out at times. But I think comparing myself wif pple in US like Kennot who's busy chasing shadows and Bornfree, who's been busy sleeping while his good fren is slogging, I'm considered slacker. At least I still can manage to squeeze a couple of hours of sleep while they can barely do so.

Tmr Eliza's leaving for UK...sometimes I really do qn myself if I have made the right choice to come NTU instead of going somewhere else. And this feeling was esp intense when Grace came to crash lectures a few weeks ago. I mean of cos it hadnt cross my mind before that I would want to go overseas or NUS, but NTU is really not as fantastic as I used to imagine. Things really are different when u experience it yourself.

Then there of cos the concern abt whether I can get enuf points to buy myself a place in hall. Hall 5 is actually quite ok...not as bad as the words of mouths that I heard. In any case, its definitely not the worst. But of cos, there are better halls. Back to the issue, points. What the heck. Thou i definitely would very much prefer staying at my own home, travelling is shack. Even if u get to sit and sleep throughout the MRT journey, its still tiring. Haiz.

Finally - him. I dunno wat to say but I'm very sure he's not the one. I like to talk, but u cant expect me to talk all the time. And if u are a listener, even if u are a superb one, there are times when u really have to do the talking. I was already so sick that day and he couldnt tell...and the whole meet-up made me felt even more sick. I have never combed 2 shopping malls within 30mins, neither have I not-enjoy shopping to such an extent before. I was very certain it was a gone case kinda situation, but apparently he didnt seem to agree wif my thots. Double haiz. I really hope his trip to TW would make him forget abt me. Cos I really cant bring myself to break the news to him. I feel so bad.

Ok, its time to mug. Tmr's life science quiz and I'm far from done wif my revision.

Haircut day

Went to cut my hair today. So sian. I've kept my hair for so so so long, then now have to cut it short, looks a bit weird thou. Went Sakae Sushi for lunch and Best Denki to check out some laptops and hairdryer. Yah, so I bought a new hairdryer. And as for the laptop, I was extremely reluctant to buy the display set. So I guess that had to be put on hold again. Argh! This is so mind-occupying.

Farewell Gifts

Yest I brought chocolate that I bought for the Sunway pple, as a token of appreciation for their guidance all the while. Frankly speaking, I have really enjoyed myself here. Although the pay is just so-so, the pple here are generally nice.

This morning Hei gave me presents. OMG. Necklace and dangling earrings. They are so nice! And it was the combined effort of Chan, Jason and Hei (and Li Chia and Rosie) that made the gifts possible. I am so touched!!! And not to mention Chan's personal gifts as well for spoiling my ring. Haha. Wonderful gifts.

I guess none of them would be reading my blog, but in any case, I really would like to express my heartfelt thanks to them. Thanks friends.

Mind Cafe Treat

So I treated some of my colleagues to dinner at Mind Café - $95.90. Ok lah, I was expecting the bill to be over 100 bucks, so anything less is a bonus. Initially, I wasn’t happy when pple told me that they couldn’t make it. I don’t know, but it just didn’t feel good.

When we reached Mind Café, it was around 7.20pm. The time started ticking from 7.45pm and we played for 2+1 hours. At least we managed to play 4 games in all – Uno Stacko, Heart Attack, Uno and Monopoly. Well, it was fun and thrilling indeed. Heart attack was the most disastrous, with tea spilling, hands knocking against the table top, finger nails scratching palms, cards flying all over the place and ring falling apart. Haha. Monopoly was equally enjoyable as pple bought any land they land on, and pple like Chan going out of jail and going back immediately again, and pple like Hei having to mortgage her cottage just to get money to pay me. Haha.

Talk abt the food, we ordered 2 Chicken Platter and 2 Boat Quay Fisherman (Fish & Chips). The serving size was humongous and we were all very full when we managed to clear the mian course. I really felt like giving up the dessert, but ate it still, anyway. Yummy!

Finally I’m blogging again. Actually i have been so lazy to blog ever since I came back from OBS cos there were so many things to blog abt. But anyway, I’ll be resigning this coming Sat and after that I'll be going for the NTU eng camp next week, so I might as well quit. Frankly speaking, of cos I hate to leave, but I think it takes time for conflicts to arise and I’m afraid that I’ll involved in some of those conflicts if I were to stay longer,. So its still better to leave while the picture is still rosy.


For the past few weeks, it’s been really busy cos of she-who-shall-not-be-named. But all thanks to her, I got to earn some OT pay, so that’s like better than nth. Now that I’ve finally cleared all the work, its back to easy life again. Actually I don’t really mind lah, money can’t buy rest, so I rather take the rest.


Anyway, I’ll be going Mind Café tonight for the 2nd time, but wif a different bunch of pple. Lets see how it turns out.

The 2nd K at Party World Int’l Bldg on 07July07 (the lucky day, as they say). The first was on 05May07. Anyway, I was supposed to reach at 7pm, but as usual, I’m hardly early. Eventually we went in at 7.30pm. Pple present were me, Hei, Chan, Jason and his fren. I’m glad this time round the guys got to sing more. And the funniest was when Chan sang Hello by Lionel Rich. I was trying to hold back my laughter until I saw Hei laughing. That’s when I really exploded. It was so funny. Haha, I know I shouldn’t laugh at pple for singing out of tune and out of beat, but…haha.


In the middle of the session, Hei and I went out to buy sth. The guys asked me to buy water for them at Isetan Scotts, but who knows that the K pple actually saw and came into our room and OFFERED to safe keep our water. Stupid! He even attempted to take away my OWN water too. But I refused to let him do so. What a wet blanket!


11.30pm K ended. We paid $23 each. It was time for supper. I wanted to eat prata, but Hei wanted to eat beancurd. In the end, we settled for porridge. So we headed to Chinatown for porridge. It was cute to see Hei perspiring like mad while eating. I wonder why I wasn’t hot at all. I guess my receptors just weren’t sensitive enuf. Haha. Reached home at 1.30am.

DSTA Award Ceremony

After practising the 3 stupid songs - Stand By Me, Bring Me To Life and Shou Qian Shou, its finally the day of our performance. I took half day and was supposed to reach Orchard Hotel by 1.30pm. But cos I went home for lunch, i was late when i reached the hotel. Nothing much at first, as it was just rehearsal. Just that eventually I was made the conductor for Stand By Me.

The award ceremony was just like any ceremony. Minister Teo C H was tall of cos, and wow, the handshake that we had was esp firm. Pple were all surprised when i put on my make-up and changed into my formal outfit. Why? I look so weird meh? Haha.

The only disappointment I had that night was seeing my long-dist cousin over at the ceremony. I don't know how I should put it..well, he's supposed to be very smart, but in the end, he ended up getting the same scholarship as I did. So what does this imply? Either I'm as smart as him or he's become as stupid as me. In any case, next year's CNY i dont expect to hear anymore show-offs about her son, the Great. Neither do I wish to hear anymore newsflash about her sis's son from my auntie's bro. And i must admit that he and his gf are really a compatible pair. In their own way. Haha. By the way, this cousin of mine is my dad's auntie's son. Or rather dad's auntie's husband's son. And this would mean a diff surname altogether. So, we are not close. And any effort to shrink our distance is fruitless. And just a disclaimer, just because he's in RJ doesnt mean that he's better than me cos nobody could outperform a 6-pointer. I CHOSE NOT TO GO TO RJ, not to engage myself with the competitive rat-race with the other elites.

Then the performance. I could safely say that Bring Me To Life was ok, but the Stand By Me was really...i guess the starting note wasn't started right lah. And apparently, not everyone followed my beat as I conducted. But i think everyone has put in their best effort. Afterall, who would want to make a fool of themselves in front of hundreds of audience and many GOHs and VIPs. Shou Qian Shou was the song that won the most applause and I think the other items of cos were defintitely much better than our singing item. But we were featured on the news leh...Haha.

The food was ok, though I didnt eat much as I spent most of the time taking photos with the gang. Yeah, i even took with the minister. Haha. I felt guilty not accompanying my parents and asking them to go back 1st. But that was because I didnt want to waste their time waiting for me while i take photos with the others. I didnt want to feel pressurised as well, afterall, its MY NIGHT. Haha.

I went back at around 9pm plus with Ken. During the walk to the MRT Station, we sort of promised not to sing Stand By Me ever again. Haha.

Back to work

After 3 days of leave, I'm finally back in office. What a great feeling it was. According to Rosie, pple were all wondering where i went to. Sam even commented that how could i resign w/o telling him. Haha. Its nice to see Kwong and Soh again, thou Kwong kept on reminding me of the lots of work I had to do. But he did share to me abt his army life and the OBS experiences of his 2 daughters. The day was short.

I actually intended to go down to Plaza Singapura to buy my Creative charger, but it was so hot and i was so tired that I slept all the way from 3pm-8pm. Jason, who was supposed to accompany me, was no better either, as he slept til 7pm plus. Haha, I guess we were both tired and the hot weather was simply made for sleeping. I just hope that it wouldnt be that hot for the next few days, if not i would definitely be sunburnt, which is the last thing i'm looking fwd to.

There are so many things to pack. So many worries, so many uncertainties. Sigh.

DSTA 3-day Workshop

These 3 days seemed to be very very far, but all of a sudden, they are here!

06 Jun 07

1st day of workshop at Hol Inn. I made many many new frens and of cos, the gals at my table were nice. The talk was conducted in a ballroom, so cool. It wasnt long before we got to have the 1st tea break.

The talks were boring and the lunch was quite stressful. Cos we had to lunch with the pple from the management, and our buddies and mentors. It turned out that my Gerry during the Assessment (Centre) was the senior manager of DSO and my management of the table (Table 11). And as usual, I wasnt paying attn to the talks, so when I was called for an interview, i couldnt ans one of the questions posed. Haha.

Then was the ice breaker. Not as boring as I thot cos there were activities for us to do. Time passed very fast before things came to an end. Anyway, I was the QC Manager for the upcoming talent showcase and part of the singing group as well. I hope it would be slack, cos I still have to work.

The talk that i have been looking forward to - Social Graces & Etiquette. There were 3 speakers- Coach Luke, Coach Kelvin and Coach Cindy. The talk was interesting except the parts by Coach Kelvin, which was extremely dry and boring. I guess it was becos of the minimal interaction and his funny accent. I was passing notes ard the table. I was called to the front, where Coach Luke analysed the way I dressed. He said that I'm a detailed and elaborate dresser, and I was quite doubtful. I was just being myself. Coach Cindy was beautiful of cos, if not she wouldnt be crowned Miss Singapore Vogue 2005/06. I managed to take a photo wif her, hehe. We were taught how to walk, sit, stand, dress, etc. Beneficial.

OBS Briefing by Miss Vivian Wong was last. Thats when I first knew of the ugly and scary details of OBS.

The fun-nest day of all, cos I got to go down to SHATEC for wine appreciation, dining etiquette and cooking classes. I was lucky to get a seat from Tampines, maybe cos it was still early.Andof cos, i slept all the way. I was 5 min late.

Dining etiquette was first. We were taught from making reservations to the real dining etiqutte. We even got practicals during lunch when we we were served a 4-course Western meal. We tasted 5 kinds of wine- 1 champagne, 2 red and 2 white wines. It was fun and interesting and of cos funny to see the faces turning red. Luckily I wasnt one of them. I finally understood the steps of actual wine tasting and the things to look out for in wines.'

Before our cooking class was a demo 1st. It was just a simple demo and I was mainly looking forward to the actual hands-on. I paired up wif Koon Seng and it was hard at 1st as the frying pan seemed to be too hot at first. We did some planning by cooking the Chicken stew which required the most time, first, followed by the sphagetti and fired rice. It seems like the fried rice was the easiest, yet we managed to burnt the red sausages to black coal almost immediately. Haha, the pan was too hot. We were fast as we used a lot of pots and pans, but we had a hard time washing too. Haha.

Though messy and stuffy, it was fun. The food? A bit too oily and salty. Haha.

Rude awakening

Its just early in the morning and somebody and something is really getting on my nerves. Whats the point in telling pple what they said is definitely wrong and insisting that what she said is definitely correct? There's simply no sense, cos there are so many pple who are more well-educated than she is. I'm not trying to despise her by the fact that she might not even have completed her secondary education, but the truth is she's just like a country-bumpkin who hasnt even travelled to any place further than Malaysia and sad to say, who doesnt even read or listen to the news. The only thing that she has is $$$ and i guess that probably lent her the 'right' to boss and brag abt anything and everything that seems so shallow and superficial. I dont believe i'm the sort of person who makes a mountain out of a molehill, but somebody does! And the reason? I guess its cos she has never encountered anything else other than what she sees and hears in her small little social life. Or family life, i should say. Worse case, anyone?

My point being, one should always learn to accept other pple's views. Its not that we're always right, and of cos, its not that what pple say would always be spot-on too. But at least, do learn to accept. There's no point in arguing something when at one instance, everybody knows that what u are saying is W-R-O-N-G!. You're just making a fool of yourself cos pple do travel, do read, and do listen to the news! In addition, even if what u really said is correct, pple dont always have to agree with u too.

I mean at least for myself, after having worked for so long and seen so much new stuff, I have learnt this fact. And never in my life do i say a "NO" after what anybody says. Of cos, u are entitled to your own opinions, but that doesnt deprive other pple of the chance to make the correct statement too. Thats why, saying "NO" to other elses' comments is the last thing i'd ever do. And i never force anybody to agree with my opinions cos those are just my OPINIONS. They are not facts and pple do have to decision to choose wat they wanna believe. And of cos, I cant be bothered.

Just a casual comment, mirrors are there for a purpose. If u have the looks, u have it. If you dont, u dont. I cant really seem to understand how somebody can think that she is the beauty queen and go round flaunting looks that she doesnt possess. I think i shant say any further abt this cos the words and tone may not be so kind anymore.

And of cos, after having writing for so long, who am i actually hinting at? Ask me, I'll tell, but thats provided u know who the person, to begin with. And perhaps sometimes we should just mind our own businesses, cos I'm also quite sick of the same person who always probe into other pples' personal stuff. I didnt want to be rude, but maybe one day, i will really tell her: "Why cant u just MYOB and stop meddling in my personal affairs? And why are u so KPO?"

Haha, i dont wish for that day to come cos i foresee an unpleasant scene.

The Central @ Clarke Quay

It was a last min shopping trip. Heard from KS that there's a new shopping mall at Clarke Quay so Hei and I decided to visit it after work since we were both working late. It was supposedly just the 2 of us, then Jason and his fren decided to join along too.

The carpark of the mall was horrendously head-spinning, try turning and turning till you reach level 5. See if u don't get giddy after that. Haha.

We got quite a shock initially when we saw the emptiness of the mall. Emptiness- as in lack of pple and SHOPS!!! I felt like whacking KS for telling me that most of the shops were catered for ladies when most of the shops werent even there yet. Luckily the other wing of the building wasnt that bad. We walked around before having dinner at a Japanese restaurant. It was funny that all the restaurants there were Japanese. Of cos, i felt so guilty after eating that whole big bowl of Chicken Teriyaki Don lor. How on earth did I manage to finish it?! Dont ask me, i also dont know. Dinner was $16 per pax.

After that we went back. I reached home at almost 11pm. Not too late afterall.

Sunway Vesak 07

The long-awaited Vesak Day has finally arrived. And ended. Since the previous outing, we have been planning activities for this day. Pulau Ubin, Sentosa, Batam, Bintan, ice-skating, Pasir Ris, ECP. It was finally decided the day before...Marina Sq. That was suggested by Hei and Jason who anticipated that weather would be hot the next day.

Woke up early, went out wif Sis and Mum. Then went to Orchard Tangs and Isetan. Was supposed to meet the gang at 3pm, but i was late, and i reached at abt 3.30pm. Chan was there early but i didnt see him til i felt someone pulling my bag. Marina Sq was very crowded and its really irritating to be bumped and squeezed all the time. Anyway, i thot i was late enough, but who knew that the gang would be even later. They reached at 4pm.

We went into Superbowl and they told us the next lane available would be 1 hr later. So we took the chance to do some shopping before bowling for 2 games. Jason was very pro. And as for me? Haha, no comments if u saw the way i dropped that stupid heavy thing and kicked it down the lane. The best part was i always got the chance to play twice cos there was either sth wrong with the sensor or the force i exerted. But still, i didnt help to improve the score.

After that, we went to have Ramen for dinner. It was funny as i wasnt funny and the rest were, yet i was the first to finish my food. Haha. But anyway, i drank many many cups of green tea. Guess i was very thirsty. Haha. This was followed by neoprint and Daytona. Luckily i wasnt last for the arcade game. And the neoprint was less disastrous. At least we understood the procedure and Jason wasnt perspiring as bad as the previous time.

The outing ended wif us drinking at McCafe before heading to the search for Jason's car. I reached home at abt 12.30am.

Pirates of the Caribbean

My 2nd sis's beloved show: Pirates of the Caribbean. So i went to watch with her after work at Century Cineplex. What a long show-160min. Started at 8.45pm and ended at abt 11.30pm. Woah! I shd say this is my first non-comedy, non-cartoon and action-packed English show. I didnt know why the fighting part bored me so much that I fell asleep lor. Haha. 2nd sis fell asleep too during the conversation parts. Too tired, i guess. Quite funny to a certain extent. Overall, it was ok, just that it's been too value-for-money given the duration.

A good way to spend my Sunday

It was supposed to be breakfast, but it ended up being lunch. Met Jason at McDonalds today. As i've mentioned, it was supposed to be breakfast, but somebody couldnt wake up when i called him at 9.30am lor. So I woke up anyway.

Since we didnt really decide which McD to go before that, I just set off to central early, in case I need to take the train or sth. I did a mini shopping andbought a hairband and a shirt at Giordano. Haha. The king finally came at abt 11.30am. So we had our meal and had a very thorough walk at Century Sq and TMall. After that we went to have coffee and tea at Coffee Bean. Ah..what a luxury.

We left the malls at abt 3.30pm.He offered to send me back, but I told him there wasnt a need to cosits just walking dist from the malls to home.

Though slack, it was a good way to spend my Sunday.

Meeting Swee Hoon...

Work til 1pm. Almost got a scare out of my wits when Kwong told meto stay til 5pm. And to think I had the cheek to wave goodbye to him when I knock off at 1pm. Haha.

1.30pm went to meet Swee Hoon at Tampines Inter. Our destination was Marine Parade. Hehe, it was so great to be able to catch up with each other. Talked a lot during the bus journey.

When we reached the food centre, we were both amazed at how hungry we could get. We practically wanted toeat anything and everything. So after our meal,we went to Parkway. It wasdefinitely stupid to go ECP in such a hot weather, so we forgot abt going there anyway. At PP, we almost went into EVERY shop. And I was a klutz of course, knocking down ladders and dropping mushrooms and stuff. And I shd have got the warnign when i dropped all the 10 stacks of drawings for LUP 46 & 47 in office earlier on. But I wasnt the only clumsy person around, cos pple keep stepping on my slippers. Haha. Oh ya, I ate a big ice-cream too. Missed the waffle.

After combing the whole mall, we headed back to malls in Tampines. The journey back was absolutely long and sleepy. I slept throughout, halfway almost dropping my bag. Haha.

Back in Tampines, I saw a nice pair of heels at Century Sq. But i didnt get the permission to buy. :(But I bought 3 pairs of earrings for my 1 precious pair of ears. Haha.

Its been a great meet-up with Swee Hoon. And Winnie the Pooh. Haha.

College Day

Lets see. I was supposed to reach by 8am, but I was slightly early. It was attendance taking for the 1st 1h30min. It was so crowded and noisy in LT2. Like a gathering. Haha.I was sitting next toLee Junyi. He must be wondering who on earth Wan Ping is, how come she knows me. But the fact is, who doesnt know his name? Haha. We had a great chat throughout the ceremony. I didnt know he's such a nice person.

The dress code according to the letter, was supposed to be formal. But apparently,we've got pple wif miny skirts, tank tops, lady slippers and all all sorts of funny outfits and coloured hairstyles. Sigh. Could have worn other pair of heels le lor. But its ok.

It was such a long wait for that plaque for academic excellence and that less than 1 min of time on stage. A handshake, a plaque, a bow and thats it. After that was performance follwed by tea reception. Guest-of-honour was DrVivian Balakrishnan. To be frank, i was really very tired during the speeches and performance. Who wouldnt be if he had slept for barely 4h before the event leh? Haha.

Took photos with Mr Tan, Mr Lau, Miss Ang, Mrs Lim, Mr Chong and went back home to sleep for 6 h: 3pm-9pm. You could have imagined how tired I was. Haha.

Company KTV

My 2nd KTV for the month on 18May. 12pple turned up, $13 each. This one's organised by Rosie and I defintely dun welcome the idea of her boasting abt that. And i esp dun like her to force me to do things that I'm reluctant to. I had drawings to do and I could defintely stay till 7pm instead of working till 6pm and going Giant to do nth. I ate very little at Giant foodcourt cos I wasnt hungry at all.

We reached Punggol Marina KTV at abt late 7pm. Ray really drove fast. The place was horrible at first and even horribler later. Its like a pub, with KTV rooms and pple playing pool and smoking at the lounge outside. Not a single bit of fresh air!

I was fore-warned to preserve my voice but i still sang. Luckily there was free flow of green tea that came with the bottle of liquor. At first it was fun as I managed to sing quite a bit. Me and Hei even acted like zombies and were hopping around when Chan was singing. Haha. Near the end, I was totally exhausted cos I was too weak to sing. My stomach was empty lor. Thats when Siew Mook and Jason who didnt sing much earlier, sang to their hearts' content. I felt much better after eating some grapes.

Pple began to leave at 9pm plus cos they had to work the next day (Sat). No comments for Rosie's husband who came much later. This is supposed to sound negative, by the way. Eventually, only the 4 of us stayed till abt 1plus am. Jason, Siew Mook, Hei and I. Siew Mook was a bit more than abnormal that night. Haha.

I was so tired that I fell asleep in Jason's car. I didnt even know when Hei and Siew Mook got out of the car. I only knew that it was hard of Jason to see me up cos i was really sleepy. Haha.

Back home, I realised I really reeked of tobacco. Horrible. EVERY SINGLE THING stink, stank, stunk. Stinked. I couldnt afford to go College Day with that horrible smell. I washed my hair wif shampoo thrice but the smell was still there. I wasnt exaggerating.

I slept at 3am, wondering how i was going to wake up at 6am.

Medical check-up

Morning was quite busy. Cos there were visitors (Residential Engineers for QTRC 24), so I had to help out with the 'waitress' tasks. The reward? - the sweet treats left behind after the meeting had ended. Haha.

Its amazing that Crystal approved my half day pm leave this morning. I had no choice cos I really had to attend that stupid OBS medical check-up. Of cos I was hoping for a perfect medical rept, but I didnt want to attend OBS leh. But eventually, I'm still certified fit for that dumb prog. Sigh.

I went home at 12.15pm, ate and took a nap. Hehe, by the way, they were giving out free coke at Tampines Inter. Anyway, I reached the GP @ Paragon at 2.30pm, took the tests then went for the X-ray screening at 3.10pm. Seriously, I didnt know that Paragon actually consisted of a medical tower. In fact, those GPs from lvl 7-12 were all those private and high-end kind. Wow. I had to wait 1h for the X-ray rept. So i went to shop around. I didnt leave the building cos it was raining. But eventually I still crossed over to Takashimaya to buy some food stuff for 2nd sis. I enjoyed that 1h being alone, and shopping around. Its the freedom and independence that I really felt glad abt.

So its actually window shopping at Orchard. But I hated being so unglam holding on to so many things in those noisy plastic bags. Esp during rainy weathers. And the X-ray bag was so big. But I still managed to buy a new shirt at Tampines thou. Haha.

Drawings & OT

OT again. After such a long time since I left Gali Batu. What happened?

A new task given by Kwong: to look at the drawings and double check the plank markings. Oh my god, I was like what on earth the drawings were all abt?! But fortunately, I still managed to cope. But the funny thing was that Kwong told me to take my time to do the checking yet all of a sudden, this pm, he told me to stay back til 7pm EVERYDAY to finish the checkings.

I shant talk abt the mistakes that Si Ling made cos those were simply horrendous and shouldnt have been made. Things couldnt have gone missing for no reason and some of the mistakes were absolutely pointless.

Anyway, I shall expect more OTs. But i shall look fwd to Fri's KTV session again. But then again, it seems like my voice have yet to fully recover yet. Sigh...

The Skirt Story

Sunday evening. I met up with Jason and his fren for a shopping and dinner trip. Supposedly, it was only the 2 of us. Then he told me that his fren wanted to join in. Of cos, i didnt mind cos I did have some reservations abt going out with him only. So he came to pick me up at abt 5pm plus and off we headed to Suntec.
 
It was a little awkward initially in the sense that we seemed to be walking around the mall aimlessly. Nobody bought anything initially, which made the whole shopping trip seemed even more pointless.Then Jason treated us to ice-cream. Mine was Mint Chip in cup. That soothed the tense atmosphere a bit cos at least we just window shopped and we got to talk more. Actually, I wasnt exactly interested in the hps that they were interested in, neither were they interested in the clothes and shoes that I enjoyed looking at.
 
The funny part was that I kept wandering off to other shops when they were looking at the hps and many times they couldnt find me. Finally I bought sth at BUM Equip. They were having a relocation sale and mind you, the apparels were absolutely good bargains.
 
After that we went to Carrfour before going to Sakae Sushi for dinner. I think I really wasnt feeling that well, so I ate very little. I could tell from the food ordered that they were really trying to accomodate me. But I really had no appetite. I couldnt help that right?
 
After dinner, I went back to BUM and saw a denim skirt on the manequin. It was a must-buy piece, but a pity it was the last piece and it was worn on the manequin in addition to the fact that they were closing for the day soon and Jason & Sunny were at the door waiting for me. Under such circumstances, I gave the skirt a miss. But it was a temporary miss.
 
That nite, i thot abt the skirt and I really regretted not insisting to buy it. Solution? I called up the store the next day morning to reserve it and went to collect it after work.
 
Mission accomplished-satisfied.

Sickening

And so i have been sick for almost 5 days. Horrible. I know the last time i was was sick was more than 1 year ago, but that doesnt mean I have to see the DR twice, and only to realise that my cough has worsened after the consuming the "stronger" cough mixture. Lousy DR, lousy medicine. And not to mention the long-waiting time for consultation. But yest's trip to the DR was an eye-opener. Cos i got to go to many other places as well and to see the dam @ Lower Seletar Reservoir, despite the hot weather.

In any case, I'm grateful to my colleague-Jason for coaxing me to see the DR, being my chauffer twice to the clinics and being my tour guide yest. It was really great to travel around!

Partying with colleagues

Have been waiting for this day since I started work. Lets not talk abt the stupid dental appt in the morning.

4pm - 8pm

Went to sing KTV with Jason, Hei, Kui Hiong, & Li Chia. @ PartyWorld Int'l Building. I thot i was late cos Lisa was such a dilly dally. So i half ran from Hyatt to Scotts and reallyran to the actual destination. I was both early and late.

1 free drink each and some snacks tgt with the many songs that we sung. Hei was really 1 great singer, I must say. Her voice was really cut out to be a Canto-singer. It was great to have FIR, SHE, Rene, Stef, Jay Chou, Lee Hom, JJ, Fish, Joey, Joi, Tanya, Jolin, Eason, Beyond and Janice to join us for the evening.

Kui Hiong left halfway and Chan came to join us. Thats when Chen Bai Qiang and Theresa came to life. Of cos, the most enjoyable part was singing songs like 'Huo Yuan Jia', 'Ben Xiao Hai' and 'Dui Mian De Nv Hai Kan Guo Lai' cos these songs involved everyone.

The bill was $76.80 to be divided by 6 pple.

8.30pm-10pm

Went to Fish & Co for dinner. Shared a Seafood Platter for 2 ($34.90) with Jason. I must say the serving size was really humongous. Especially Chan's fried fish wif rice. Nobody could finish thier food. Haha.

Hei ordered the same platter as us and she shared with Li Chia.They were so fast at first-it took them the time of me & Jason to eat a few calamari and fries, to finish almost all the 10-12 prawns. But it seems like slow and steady still win the race cos eventually Jason & I ate more than them lor. Haha. But we were all lazy to move after our meal.

The total bill was $115.50 to be shared among 5 pple.

10pm-11pm

We spent this hour walking around Shaw and Cineleisure looking for the perfect movie at the perfect timing. but there was none. So we ended up taking Neoprints. The 4 of us were quite like idiots cos we didnt really noe how to operate the machine. But thou messy, the outcome was still quite alright. It was a really hot hour as we were all perspiring after taking the Neoprints. Haha.

11.10pm-12am

We sat down at McDonalds near DFS to chat and drink Green Tea cos we were all tired and hot after the ups and downs. Especially me, cos my hp batt was flat and I was quite flustered. 2nd sis forgot to bring her keys and she had to contact me so that I could pass her the keys. But my hp batt was so flat that I had to give her Jason's hp no. Had a nice great chat abt work, life, names, fashion, etc before heading home in Jason's car.

Shopping during office hours!!!

Shall talk abt work today. It was so boring before lunch. I was still begging Jason in the morning to bring me to site. But its not possible lah. Then slighlty before lunch, Crystal told me to run some errands for her. Which meant I got to go out!!! Oh my god, i was exhilarated. Over the moon and into the outer space. So after lunch we went NTUC to buy sundry for the month. It was a thirsty trip cos we bought 1 carton (24 bottles) of mineral water and 16 x6 of packet drinks. Of cos there were other items such as toilet rolls and milo and coffee...and we spent $199.10. Haha. If only I got my sis's NTUC linkcard.

So after lunch, Soh dropped me at Giant and I took the free shuttle to Tampines MRT. The1st destination: UOB Plaza 1 to collect shipping guarantee. Dont ask me wats that. I dunno. Then I took a cab from there to Tanjong Pagar Complex @ Keppel Road-exactly where we got lost on Sun on our way to Vivo. Haha. I handed the doc to TNS Doris and I took a cab to Maybank @ Jln Sultan Rd, Textile Centre. Collected that doc and BINGO - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! It was barely quarter-past-3 pm. Haha.

So guess wat? I walked down to Bugis Junction and started to....I shant be so explicit. Those who know me well will know wat I did. At abt 4pm plus, I tried to take a cab back to office. But there was a long queue outside Parco. And the worse thing was it was changing shift time. So it was extremely hard to hail a cab. And the worst was traffic jam down PIE. My goodness. But I still made it back to office before 5pm. Haha. It was fun, cos I actually got to escape the boredom i'd have experienced in office and i got to S--- during office hours. Haha. Wicked.

Work apart, these few days have been quite sweet. Thou it meant a waste of sms, I really enjoyed cahtting with him. I dont know if i shd look fwd to our meeting next Sun cos i'm afraid things may change. Afterall, we only met once. But I cant be bothered actually.

Yeah, this Sat the 4 of us from Sunway are going PartyWorld to sing K. Yes. But no. I have tuition and dental appt before that. Sigh.

Pre-labour day

Been a great day today despite seeing the wrong bus hence boarding the wrong bus aft work. Had a great long chat with YS and it was really enjoyable.

Work was a little slow and messy today. Rosie was on leave so the office was exceptionally quiet. Henry, Ray, Koh, Li Chia were on leave. But that made minimal diff anyway. Slow cos time seemed to pass very slowly, messy cos Kwong always gave me work that I'm unfamiliar with to do. But I hv enjoyed that, seriously, cos it was really a great experience and chance to learn how to handle new and unfamiliar stuff independently. Thats why its been a great day!

Vivo

This morn woke up early cos I had to go down to Vivo with 2nd sis to buy a dress for Jasmine's wedding. Haha, so reluctantly we woke up at 8am and started cheong-ing. We manged to leave hse at 9.15am. It took us 1 h to get there cos we got lost and wasted a lot of time going in circles. But that gave me a chance to snap quite some shots of the to-be-completed Ferris Wheel and the to-be-forgotten railway station and tracks. Haha.

It was fun to shop so fast. U shd hv seen the pace we kept and the way we buzzed in and out of shops. Saw a Zara dress that we both liked, but too bad- out of small sizes. Chey. Then we went for lunch at LJS. Surprisingly it took us less than 1/2 h to get to Pasir Ris from Vivo.

We were on our own for the next 2h before meeting at Chinatown for part II. Haha.

Seoul Garden

Went Seoul Garden @ TMall wif 2nd sis this aftn after work. It was my 2nd time and her dunno-how-many'th time there liao yet we still seemed lost like some suagu-gia. Haha. I realise its really not worth it for us to go eat buffet. Cos we barely ate a lot before we raised our white flag and surrender. We paid $48+++ for some chicken, soup and ice-cream. Can u believe it?!! But it was fun thou. Cos we dunno when exactly the bbQ food were cooked, so we just bbq and bbq until it turned almost black. If not,we would just dump them into the soup. And somehow the fire just got 'bigger' and the oil started to 'jump'. The soup just kept on boiling also. Haha. It was really clumsy. So we just bbQed a little and went for the cooked food instead. We had lots of ice-cream. And I meant LOTS. Haha, thou it was ex and not exactly filling, it was FUN!!!

MOE Psychometric Test

I went for the MOE Psychometric Test this aftn. Saw Hui Yan. It was not as tough as the one I've taken in sch, but its not really simple either. I was supposed to think and write a serious problem and ans 58 related mCqs. I felt like writing that the problem was I was supposed to think of a serious problem yet I couldnt think of any. Haha. It wasnt a timed test, so I just wrote some rubbish and got it over and done with. Anyway, Iwasnt really interested in that scholarship cos of 2 reasons.1 of them being the courses offered werent of Engineering nature. The other reason...thats for me to know, for you to find out. Haha.

In any case, this test was still fruitful cos I made a new fren-Yong Sheng. Didnt know that we actually have Kai Sheng and Xiao Han as our frens in common. Haha.

Free yet busy

Things at Jln GB finally came to a small full-stop. After the terrible midnite shift on 10apr. Haha, I didnt go to work on 11apr cos I only left that remote place at 2am plus, reached home at 3am, finished the report at 6am, finally went to sleep. How to wake up at 7pm for work leh?Hehe. Right now, its no longer my biz to go there. I just have to update the schedule and check how's Vincent doing. Its ok. But its funny that I'm still so busy. But then i guess its only temporary. Once sch starts, things are gonna get back to normal. An abnormal kind of normal cos my home would be my hostel. I know I ever said that I didnt want to stay in hostel, but things have changed.

Jalan Gali Batu

It all started on 26 Mar. That morning Crystal came to me and told me that Sunway will be taking over a stockpile at Jalan Gali Batu near Kranji. She asked if I would consider going over to handle the admin work. I refused to the offer and yet I was sent over that very aftn. At least Wong and Crystal was with me. My first OT-til 7pm. That stupid Song from Surbana went back with me cos he said Marine Parade was along the way. Eventually, the half an hour journey turned out to be an hour and the cab fee was $29.80. Never had i spent so much money on cab! Luckily can reimburse. The next day I was told to be there by 7.30am. But the cab was early, so I reached at 7am. That day ended early at abt 4pm.

Job was extreme. Thats all I can say. Its either very busy-thats when all the trucks come at the same time, or its very free-thats when there are no truck at all. What i need to do is to weigh the trucks, print the Delivery Orders (DO), sign and print the DO Summary at the end of the day. The report to be done using Excel is an additional hwk given by S. Its simple.

AllI can say is that the stockpile is a lifeless place. Not as if there's nobody there,but u cant expect much pple when its in such a secluded and deserted area, surrounded by stones, forest and foreign workers' domitory. Some of my colleagues joked that the stones were of equivalence to diamond. Of cos, given that granite and sand are like precious gems to construction-related firms. It gets dark at night, but I'm never afriad. Dont ask me why. Twice I worked til 9pm/10pm plus, and pple were all worried abt my safety. But I wasnt scared at all, I swear.
It takes a long-legged person abt 5mins to walk from the container to the toilet and 20mins to complete the trek round the 20mm aggregate stockpile. I believe the view (esp of sunrise and sunset) one gets on top of the hill of stones would be marvellous, but I havent got the chance to climb up yet. Perhaps tmr I will.

On 31-03, I worked til 9pm plus. That was only for 187 loads. I walked out to the mainroad with Ah Boon and Song to wait fora cab. The driver was Ah Boon's face. That day was horriblest cos S kept on calling me on my hp. Almost once every hour. I bet my bill's gonna be a bomb this mth. Last nite was even later. Til 10pm plus for 237 loads. This time round S didnt call me. Phew! But I know he was just worried. Andrew drove me to and fro the toilet in his pick-up yest. Wee Bee came as I was printing the summary and he drove me and Ah Tan toYew Tee MRT Station. I took a cab from there. 1 thing that's bothering me's whether I have dropped my hairclip in Wee Bee's car. Hopefully not-cos I sat at the front seat yest and I'm not sure wat happens if his wife finds a hairclip there.

Tmr's probably my last or 2nd last time going there, cos Wong said he found someone else already. Perhaps it was my initial reluctance that led to the hurry to find new staff. But I couldnt tell him now that I'm actually used to it already. I guess its ok. I have no choice anyway. I'm actually quite confused cos Rosie's back and things have changed more than just a mere bit. Being over at the stockpile would remind pple more of my existence. Is it? Or will it make pple forget abt my existence cos I'm not in the office? I dont know.

But then again, its only a job. Just let it be.
